  • Route and Ride Brief

    • This is mountain biking in its purist form.
    • The 1st day of 45km will take us up to 6 hours to complete, this is mainly due to the river and estuary crossings which consume large amounts of time.
    • Keeping this in mind, please bring sun cream in your ride kit as you will need to keep putting it on after each crossing to avoid getting sun burnt.
    • Please make sure you have waterproof bags for all important gadgets like cell phones, bike computers and cameras as you will be swimming across rivers.
    • Please note that this is a tour and not a race, we ride as a group and the emphasis is on fun and exploration.
    • Cell phones and Battery Charging facilities
This is one of the best things about this trip; NO Cell Phone Signal In Camp. There is a 5min walk up a hill to full cell phone signal so loved ones can be contacted as you need.
    • The camp is run on wind and solar power and does have cell phone, camera and any other gadgets battery charging facility; please bring your own power cables.
    • A Head Lamp is the most important piece of luggage to bring, so make sure you have one!
    • There is a full Bar available which we suggest you support.
    • If you do like your good quality wine then we suggest you bring your own, the lodge does charge a corkage feePlease bring your own snacks, chips chocolate etc as there is definitely no “Woolies” up the road.
    • The water is safe to drink but we recommend each person brings a 5l of their own for the weekend.
